Real Potosi vs. Caracas FC (Potosi, Bolivia)
In this match, Real Potosi look to possibly get their first points of the competition. They are all but eliminated and this night’s match is a mere formality. Bottom line: But, this match is being played in Bolivia, most likely at a high altitude and that doesn’t bode well for Caracas FC’s chances of advancing to the second round. I think they can do it but not sure they’ll manage a win tonight. My pick: 1-1 tie. Caracas will not pullout a truly tough away win.

Universidad Catolica vs. Universidad San Martin (Santiago, Chile)
In one of the tightest groups of the tournament, most of the teams in Group 5 have their fate in their own fans. River Plate currently have the lead but San Martin are only one win away from the lead which might be within reach since River Plate are away to America tomorrow. Universidad Catolica on the other hand are look up at their group mates from the bottom of the Group.Their situation is not as dire, they could manage a nice win tonight and be right back in it. Bottom line: Catolica needs this win or they are out of it completely unless America completely fall apart allowing for that window for the Chileans. My pick: 2-1 to Catolica. They are the home team and need a win and should get it.

Santos FC vs. San José (Santos, Brazil)
In Bolivia, San José, along with Cúcuta’s win at Chivas, pulled out one of the biggest surprise wins of the tournament so far. Bottom line: Santos get a chance to redeem themselves right away and should. San José is an also ran here, this match should put some distance between the top two and the bottom two. My pick: Santos get all three points and win 3-1.
