Libertad Take Care of Business Now That Nothing Is On The Line.

By: Mauro | April 9th, 2008

Club Libertad vs. LDU Quito (Estadio Defensores del Chaco, Asuncion, Paraguay)

Honestly, this was a gimme match for Libertad. They had nothing to play for and neither did their opponents. They played to an almost empty stadium where Juan Manuel Olivera was the man of the match, serving up a goal and scoring one. He was later subbed off for Nelson Pipino Cuevas. Obregon scored the goal of the night in the 63rd minute for LDU Quito. Cuevas scored a nice one as well in the 65th minute for his side. Check the vid.

Not much really left to say about his match. This leaves Libertad with their first points of the competition. LDU with 10 points. None of the matches left have much at stake unless first place is a prize wanted by either team at the top of the group table. We’ll find out later today when Flu head to Sarandi to punish Arsenal’s fans a little more.
